I was there from 02-05, hubby was on the McCain, and I know there are a few other women who have been there or are currently there right now.

Yokosuka is beeeautiful. There's lots to do. You're really close to Tokyo (huge perk for visiting family!).

We were stationed in Yokosuka 3 years ago!!! We had the time of our lives! Make sure you visit Kyoto if you have a chance. That is the real Japan! The city is like any city, except crowded. But if you want to see real history, you need to go to the outskirts. You will definately enjoy Japan, so much to see and do, 3 years was not enough for us! Wish you much luck.
