If there was a draft what would you do?

i'd go coast guard :)

If there was a draft, they'd have to really let some stuff slip so i could get in. i have major health issues. of course if i was in because of the draft, i wouldn't fight it.

I would join a branch. Probably Navy or Air Force

They wouldn't take me cause of my health and mental health history, so I think I would be one of the lucky ones. But IF I had to, I would join a branch.

If you knew your number was coming up then alot of people would join. Thats what my dad did. He wanted to fly, he tried to do air force but he needed a degree to fly with them so he joined to army. He did 2 tours in Nam.

I'd just be drafted. I think the rules are that they'd only draft men. Or is that a rule of the past?

I guess I am strange I wanted to join the Navy before my husband did but they would not take me because of my health. So if I had the chance to get it I would do it in a heart beat. Draft or not

i have no desire to join any branch of the military but if there was a draft coming up and i knew i was going to be drafted i would go into the marines because db is a marine and thats really the only thing i have to base it off of. i do not want to air force or navy and not army either :lol so marines it would be for me!

I would probably run away.. i am way too weak to be in the military.. if someone yelled at me or told me I was doing something wrong I would cry.. they wouldn't want me lol. I have plans for my life and being in the military is not one of them. Worst comes to worst though.. Navy just cause DH is in it

For the CG 17-27 (up to age 32 if attending an "A" school) for Active Duty.

I'd enlist in a heartbeat, there is a chance I still will once Robert gets out. I would join the Marines or the Navy just depends on what Robert and I decided together. As far as the draft and only women, I think they can draft women but just not for combat positions isn't it?

If I passed the medical aspect, I would join the Army or Marines. I'd try to get into the psychology field within the branch.

I've already served my time....so I wouldn't do anything but guide my kids to join the service they wanted to before it was decided for them.

They wouldnt want me, I'm a lemon all sorts of health issues, lol. If I got drafted and had to serve, I would go Navy or AF.

I've already done time in the Navy but I would go back in if I had to. Don't think they would take me at this point though. To many kids :giggle

I would do what my dad did, join before my number came up. They didn't take him for med reasons, but at least he tried. They won't take me either-Too old and diabetic. I'd go in anyway to try.

I'd join the AF. I was set to go after HS but life got in the way.

They wouldn't be able to take me because of my health problems...in that regard, I'd be thankful for having these issues. Personally, I don't agree with a draft of any sort. Forcing people to fight is not and would not be in our country's best interest.

If its anything like Vietnam, they would make an exception for religious reasons. I would probably try to get out due to religious views. Failing that, I would go Coastie.

Although, the draft usually only effects men. In highschool, they were the only ones who had to register for selective service. Given the current administration's attitudes toward women, I highly doubt that it would be extended to women.
