So last night DH and I went to a seminar that told us you would get a free trip JUST for sitting in on a seminar on pots and pans. Have you every heard of water-less cooking? Well, I had and knew that it may be somethin like that ... BUt we went anyway and there was no catch to ge the trip. He assured us that after sitting for a couple of hours, we would get the trip free and clear.

But ... DH Loved the pots and pans. Yeah, LOVED them. We had seen a show before and knew they were rather expensive, but had heard they weere incredible. The last pots and pans you would every buy. Right?

SO instead of a truck, DH and I spent the money on these pots and pans, as well as a new knofe seat for him and 4 china sets for me.

I slept pretty well last night :teehee, but I wanted to know if anyone else has these/has seen a seminar/etc. What do you think?

I've done the same thing, different company. My good china is from one of those companies. (My mom bought the pots and pans for herself!) Ran out of time to be able to take the trip (couldn't get away from school).

I'm confused on the truck vs. pots and pans thing? Are you saying the pots and pans cost as much as a truck would?????

Yeah, so heres the low down. The pots and pans are guaranteed for life and are not harmful to your food. Any pan you buy at walmart or target or elsewhere, is only a part of the pans we bought. The pans/pots we bought are waterless, and you can bake on the stove with them. Waterless just means that you do not have to use as much water/oil.butter to cook your foods, so they taste like they should and you do not have to add flavor back in.

The cost of the trucks we were looking at were about 3K and thats what the pans, the four Place Settings (sorry not sets :teehee) and the knifes cost. we know people who have the pots and pans for life and hand them down to their childrens children. They have a two generation lifetime warranty. And I have to say, I am glad we finally got DH his dream pans (hes kinda a dork ... but he LOVEs to cook.)

Ok that makes sense now :lol I still couldn't bring myself to spend that much on cookware though. I'm not really one that likes to cook :lol

Oh trust me, I am in your shoes about 75%. BUt DH really wants them and he doesn't really have anything "nice". I just got a new car (kijnda "ours" but I drive it most of the time) and I thought he really liked them, we could afford to do it if were were going to by him a truck, why not, right? And it makes him really happy.

Plus, I did the math, and some of thepots and pans I have will not be so useable after a while and we are going to have to pay to replace. Might as well fork out the money now, and we will never by pans/pots again. Plus the china I really like and DH loves knifes. Weirdo, I know. :teehee

Lol i was watching king of queens the other day- Doug wanted to go to this seminar because they would get a free plasma tv, and the seminar was being held at a ski resort up in the mountains, and it was all for free.

They ended up almost buying time shares, even though they said they wouldn't.

I have heard of waterless cooking, i think. Um my mother, the chef she is, bought a set of some "really wonderful pans" for her resturant and they were about 6 k. 8 pots, 2 pans, and 10 lids. No knife set :P

If your dh likes to cook then so be it. I've heard that if you buy really good pots then the food tastes better, and the cooking time is much less.

I don't have 3k to spend on pots and pans so i bought a 50 buck set of these stainless steal ones on amazon, the quality of the food comes out much better then the nonstick.

That's awesome that he got something he likes :) I know many people are saying they wouldn't spend 3k on cookware, but it cooking is a true love, it's barely anything. I know my cousin would, she LOVES cooking. To me it's like cameras...you have people that wouldn't spend more than $200 on a camera, and you have those that spend a few thousand on a good one and lenses because they love photography, even if it's not a career!
