DB has moved out to sector about a month and a half ago and is supposed to remain there the rest of his tour ( 6, no wait 9! months now) but anyhow I am getting low on ideas for care packages. He only gets to go back to the fob once maybe every week or 2. This past time it was once in 3 weeks. I know it's summer there now so I need some help on what I should send and how often, being he doesn't get a chance to get back much and out living in the swap there isn't anywhere to really keep anything.

I'm kind of a dork, but I always have some *theme* to send to hubby. Once I had a lua in a box, with a lay and some other *hawaiin* stuff like canned pineapple, and those little umbrellas. Another time was *movie night* in a box and I sent some DVD's, fiddle faddle, twizzlers, etc.

I will say the one him and all his guys he worked with loved the most was the *summer* one I sent with toy water guns and water balloons... silly boys, haha!:lmao

Oh and he threw it all away too when he was done since there wasn't a lot of space to keep any of it. Ok, I think they kept the water guns. :rolleyes

Awww, I like the summer idea. Damnit, I wish I was more creative! I'll save that one to memory for next Pac.

I would buy him some vaseline so it can help his nose and lips. Sandstorms are terrible over there at this time of year, and the sand gets into everything. I would also buy him some extra hydrating moisturiser, something with Aloe in it works well.

Now the fun stuff, i really like the summer theme. Something cute is always great. I always liked to send the things i knew he would need along with it. I also sent him a couple of movies and microwave popcorn :loser

I'm really not too creative sorry. But i know they are always thankful for the things that help them get through the heat & sandstorms.

Wow! I really like the themed idea. It's so cute and clever. The dollar store always has little squirt guns and things like that. I know I could pick up a few things like that and tell him not to feel bad about tossing them out later on down the road. The only thing is, I don't know if they will be able to take that stuff out there with them. Maybe when the go back to the fob they could always take it out perhaps? I mean they are out living in sector. They took over a building and call it home now. They even have a puppy awww. I know baby wipes are a little miracle bath. DB said they didn't build showers yet and he didn't get to take one for 3 weeks. icky. I love the theme box idea I'm still stuck on it. Thanks so much for the advice it's going to come in handy. Also Simmy... love the top gun pic haha ;)
