my class starts Jan 9th. What's the class like for those that have taken it? Lots of writing? I really enjoy psychological type stuff, so I'm thinking I will probably enjoy it. My mom said she loved it and she thinks I will also.

I'm also taking my Algebra to get it out of the way since it doesn't even count as a credit :mad

Just doing two classes and I'm thinking of doing three next semester :shock I really need to get some of these general classes out of the way though! :duh :sick

Oooh, that will be fun! I love psych classes too...If you like that, maybe for your next courses, you could take a Soc class? That is kind of like psych but more focused on peoples behavior as a group...

I hate math, good luck with that, lol.

It'll probably deal with just the general areas of psych. Not too hard. I'm taking Math for Lib arts, Sign Language 1, Intro to Shakespeare, and Teaching diverese pops. Fun! Heehee

Yep, it's general Psych. I'm taking my Sociology class next semester. I need at least 3 credits of Soc. So, I'm going to do that one after I finish the Psych. I was SUPPOSED to do my Soc class last semester but my financial aid didn't go through it was was gonna cost me about $500 just to do the one damn class.

I think lauren would be the perfect person to ask about this! She's majoring in it, I believe.

I loved my general psychology class, i'm minoring in psychology so I love that stuff, i've already taken psychology of sex(it was actually really boring), child psych, abnormal psych and lifespan. i only have one more to go woo hoo physiological psychology, plus Chem II, Mircobiology, and philosophy (needless to say the psych course is the only thing i'm looking forward 2)

I loved my general psych class. I did the whole class in a 3 week period though and I wish I had done a regular quarter of it so we could have gone into more detail.

So it's a general psych class? If it is, you will learn a general overview of many different areas of psych. Psychodynamic stuff (like Freud), Cognition, Brain stuff, Social, Abnormal, Personality, etc. There's so much stuff they could cover, so it will depend on what your professor chooses to teach.

My general psych class was the one that drew me into the field. It's a little dabbling of several different areas and will leave you wanting more.

Let me know if you need help during that class. :D

Where are you going to school? UNF or FCCJ? I loved my Teaching Diverse Populations teacher! I didn't know you were an education major! :yeehaw I took Sign Language 1 this past semester and I'm moving on the Sign 2 this semester, so let me know if you need any help. I LOVED it. :D Sorry to thread jack Brandi.

I took the Intro to Psychology class a long time ago, but from what I remember it was just a lot of lectures and stuff. But I had a great teacher, so it was really fun and I learned a lot. It was basically just intro stuff, nothing super hard.
