View Full Version : C-section mommies who...
got pregnant again within the first year. Did you worry that getting pregnant so soon after your c-section, that your uterus wouldn't be able to stand being stretched out again so soon and would rip open?:ohno Or is that something just I think about?
Carrie 04-17-2007, 07:47 PM ive thought about that too, thats why i had waited a year lol but it turned into 2. i was scared to go through another c-section so soon anyway.
_Krystyn_ 04-17-2007, 07:48 PM Yikes, I never thought about that. I haven't had kids but that's still kind of a scary thought
I think about that all the time! I am worried that I am not healed enough to carry a baby but I guess we will see if it all works out anyway since I may be possibly losing it. :sadeyes
Donna 04-17-2007, 07:52 PM i worry and my kids are all 2-3 years apart. but then again, i have already had 3 sections. so i am a little more worried with this one than i was with the previous ones.
NikkiD 04-17-2007, 07:57 PM I got pregnant with my third when my second was only 9 months old. I don't think it ever crossed my mind and I don't recall the doctor ever saying anything about it. I have had 3 c-sections all within 4 years. The only I was told that I shouldn't have anymore, or maybe one more but that would be it. Of course, the last time I was pregnant was over 17 years ago so I don't know if it is a medical concerns these days or not.
:whew Good, I'm not the only one. I didn't worry about it when we were trying or whenI first got pregnant, but everyonce in a while I feel a wierd pain that I'm not used to and I freak out a bit. This is my fourth csection, the first two were 27 months apart and between the 2nd and 3rd there was 7 years, but it's only 17 months between these last two.
Brandi 04-17-2007, 08:24 PM I actually was very worried but I talked to my doctor about it and she said it was perfectly fine and not something that I should invest my emotion into :lol I said I was really scared about my uterus or scar having issues and she said "Oh, you're fine! Believe me, you're fine!" and they are doctors who are usually overly cautious about everything, so I did believe her and she was right. I didn't notice anything worse about my pregnancy that time than I did with the other two. So, don't worry about it too much. You'll be okay!

Thanks, Brandi. You're right, I'll be ok. I guess I just get worried whenever I feel a pain that is different from what I felt before. I'll try not to worry.;)
HEIDI 04-18-2007, 12:39 AM I never had that to worry about, but I did have a friedn who's appendix scare busted with her preganacy... She had huge boys... over 12 pounds...

WOW!!:wow I can't imagine have a 12lb baby.
bunkie 04-18-2007, 10:25 AM No I didn't worry but having my kids close together and not allowing my uterus time to heal caused PTL problems. Thankfully I carried her to 39w on the dot but it was a struggle from 30w to that point. My incision was fine and I had them 16 months apart. So I was 8 months PP when I got pregnant again.
