I was told by the dietician that you have one cup of something. Even my boss who is also a PA told me that!

Doctors and professionals will tell you not to eat or drink just about anything under the sun...I had coffee all through my pregnancy with Kat, and I never swore off caffeinated drinks during any of my pregnancies (although I don't drink coffee anymore).
*shrug* I think the only absolute no no's are drugs (legal and illegal) and booze (although some docs say 1 glass of wine a week is fine).

Everything in moderation. Pregnancy doesn't have to be a diet :lmao Just got to be sensible and eat healthy (although you should always be sensible and eat healthy), I kept eating everything I would normally eat :dunno.

Its okay to have some just not like the entire pitcher of tea... a glass or 2 a day won't hurt you.
I drank a coke or 2 a day when I was preggo with Jer... my Dr said just don't drink a 12 pack a day. Now when it came to my sweet tea or iced coffees... I always got decaf... A while back I tried the caffeine free and I couldn't taste the difference and I don't need the caffeine rush I never feel it anyways :P.

This always reminds me of our italian neighbors we had when we lived off base in Yokosuka... She used to come over when I was pregnant with my first and bring me a bottle of red wine and say "You are not drinking enough wine. You are pregnant and the baby needs it." :lmao

Your husband needs to chill you are still you a person with rights not just an incubator for YOUR (meaning the two of you not just him) child. A grown woman does not need to be told what she can drink and when to nap. Sorry that came out sort of bitchy but really you do have rights to what you are doing with your body and it rubbed ME wrong. I feel bad for you living with all of his rules.

Your husband would be shocked to discover just how much caffine my OB/Midwife team in NH OK'd with my last pregnancy I was shocked myself. Yet happy all at the same time I love my coffee and tea.

I drink tea all the time. When I had my first son they recommended I dirnk decaf tea because I was having trouble staying hydrated and apparently caffeine dehydrates you. I drink some soda every once in a while though. I think as long as its not too much its fine. It is sweet of your husband to care so much though!
