View Full Version : Deliver your own baby via c section Kat 04-18-2007, 06:47 AM http://www.stuff.co.nz/4027203a12.html :shock :refuse :screwy Caimbrie 04-18-2007, 07:43 AM I just don't think I could do that :lol SIMMYBABEZ 04-18-2007, 07:44 AM Girl, i havn't even seen it- but its a New Zealand website so that explains it :lmao Jennifer 04-18-2007, 07:48 AM um hell no! Ashnbri 04-18-2007, 09:07 AM That is pretty cool but I could never do it..I am so scared to get a Csect. as it is I think that would put me over the top lol. Jill 04-18-2007, 09:25 AM Well that is interesting!!! I think it is great to get the mom more involved with the delivery. Never understood the whole curtain and blocking her view of her baby being born.:nutts Ellen 04-18-2007, 09:26 AM Hmmm..... Teresa 04-18-2007, 09:34 AM Uh, no thanks! I'm perfectly happy with my "screen" up during my c-sections :) I could barely handle the smells in the OR let alone pull my own baby out of my womb :nutts Kaymara 04-18-2007, 09:36 AM I'd do it. The curtain was annoying and it all went so darn fast. I did get to see her and kiss her right away but it woulda been nice to actually hold her. With Ethan I was asleep under general since it was an emergency section so I wouldnt of had that option Mary 04-18-2007, 10:06 AM Say what??:inshock I don't think I could do it. First of all, I'm usually pretty much out of it during my csections and barely manage to stay awake for the birth and passout while they are sewing me up, so I would be afraid I would drop my own baby. Kat 04-18-2007, 01:58 PM Well that is interesting!!! I think it is great to get the mom more involved with the delivery. Never understood the whole curtain and blocking her view of her baby being born.:nutts For women like me. I would have gone into SHOCK. :pukey My dh looked and said he could see some nasty stuff, then they pulled my uterus up and squeezed it down to size.... :refuse Yeah I dont want to see that crap. SezzySue 04-18-2007, 03:30 PM i think its kind of cool. I am not sure I would do it but it is neat jennyb 04-18-2007, 03:35 PM I am perfectly happy pushing them out, I dont need to reach in and get them. HuskerFan 04-18-2007, 03:36 PM HOLY SHIT! :faint HEIDI 04-18-2007, 03:39 PM I wanted to watch mine, I don't think I could do that..... luvmysailor81904 04-18-2007, 03:43 PM to each his own.... Callie 04-18-2007, 03:46 PM if I had to have a C section I would totally do it! aubrey 04-18-2007, 04:55 PM Hmm looks pretty cool... Berkley 04-18-2007, 05:01 PM I think it's fantastic! I couldn't vaginally deliver either of my children and with the screen up it was an extremely detached procedure. I would have loved to have been able to watch and participate in whatever way. Berkley 04-18-2007, 05:02 PM I am perfectly happy pushing them out, I dont need to reach in and get them. That's b/c you could push them out not everyone can. Armylove 04-18-2007, 05:18 PM wth Pheather 04-18-2007, 05:21 PM I didn't look at the site, but there is no way I could do that. Kaymara 04-18-2007, 05:22 PM I think it's fantastic! I couldn't vaginally deliver either of my children and with the screen up it was an extremely detached procedure. I would have loved to have been able to watch and participate in whatever way. i feel the same way **Liz** 04-18-2007, 05:25 PM I think it's fantastic! I couldn't vaginally deliver either of my children and with the screen up it was an extremely detached procedure. I would have loved to have been able to watch and participate in whatever way. I 100% agree with you. With both of mine, I felt very detached like I wasn't even there. I would have loved to at least have the option to have the screen down. Kristin 04-18-2007, 05:27 PM I pushed all 3 of mine out, but I got to grab and pull Ethan and Emilee when they were half way out and that was just too cool!! I would definately love to do that if I ever had to have a c-section, but I don't have a stomach of iron so it wouldn't bother me all. EmeraldEyes 04-18-2007, 06:16 PM I'd be afraid I would drop him.... I don't think that's for me, I'm trying to avoid one myself...... bunkie 04-18-2007, 07:58 PM That's b/c you could push them out not everyone can. that you for saying that. for some reason that comment really pissed me off. I would do it. I hate the curtian. Blood and stuff doesnt bother me so that would have been awesome. my husband watched so why couldn't I? I think its neat. And to each their own. No one has the right to judge someone elses birth as long as its not dangerous. I am not having anymore but if I did I would defentially ask about that. *Christy6* 04-19-2007, 12:18 AM COOL!!! Donna 04-19-2007, 12:24 AM nope, i liked my curtains. i didnt feel detached at all. as soon as they had them out, they lifted them over the curtain for me to see before they were cleaned up. and before they left the OR, i got to kiss to them. amandalaine 04-19-2007, 12:30 AM I'm with Kat...just reading her comment made me want to pass out :lmao |
