I am going to get a civilian pediatrician for Bri but have no idea about how to go about interviewing them or talking with them...did any of yall go see an outside provider before your child was born and what did you talk/ask them? I would like to meet with them before hand so I can get a good dr espically since we are planning to live here for a long while when DH gets out.
I figure out what is important to you and how you want to take care of your child. Then find someone who agrees with you. I think it is great that you are going to interview doctors instead of just picking and going with one.

I believe that there are list on www.babycenter.com (http://www.babycenter.com) that you can use to interview a ped. Ava goes to a civilian dr. and I asked questions like how soon are phone calls returned, what hospitals are they associated with, on the weekends, if my baby get sick what is the protocol. Just things like that. There are a few websites that have questions that you can ask.

i don't think tricare will let you get a civi pedi unless the clinic is full. Ella goes to the clinic and see's Dr. Hankin we really like her so Landen will see her too hopefully.

That's the only reason my kids see a civi is there was no room when I was enrolling Alex. Since Alex was with a civi his brothers automatically got to go to the same doc when they were born.
