i've been trying to get a hold of the nurse at my doctors office so that she can evaulate my symptons(i think i have a yeast infection) but i have only been getting an answering machine. i've been trying for an hour and i really need to get this taken care of, i'm pregnant and i don't know if i can go buy something over the counter. should i keep trying to get a hold of the nurse(i did leave her a message telling her what was wrong) or should i call the office back and talk to the receptionist and see if i can make an appointment without knowing 100% what i have.

with you being pregnant I'd get in touch with a Dr first.

That happens here. I leave a message and they call me back. I know they are very busy its hard to do several things at one time as I do here. I hardly ever am able to answer the phone when it rings. I would give them a short time and then try again.
This pregnancy has been REALLY rough, I think I have every disease under the sun LOL (esp the rash on my finger). They eventually called me back within a few hours.
If you are really that worried about it then try to call the receptionist and see if she can find a nurse for you.

You can use over the counter 7 day monistat (NOT the 1 day) but I would be certain it IS a yeast infection. I would call and see if you can leave a message for the nurse to call you back

I hope you get a hold of someone soon. My dr gave me the 7 day monistat when I was preggo with Jer.

I've never heard back from the nurse and I called a couple hours ago. I did get an appointment for later today. I was tempted to just go buy something at the store but I don't know 100% what I have since it seemed to happen right after I had my pelvic exam and pap smear, I thought maybe I had a reaction to something, I just don't know, I guess I'll find out what it is later today.
