I didn't mean to offend anyone. I didn't mean weird..just somewhere that you wouldn't expect to see it. I saw someone doing it inside my college today and it got me thinking.

It wasn't a wierd location but a wierd situation. There was this chick on my plane ride to KY from CA and I was in the waiting area (where you sit and wait for you're plane to arrive) I think in TX but I'm not sure anyway it was during layover and the chick NO JOKE HERE. Lifted up her shirt and opened her bra you could see FULL BOOB FULL NIPPLE and just let it sit there like htat while she dug in her purse for something then attached the kid. She was trying to give all the guys who were staring at her dirty looks but COME ON! She had FULL BOOB exposed for like 5 mins!

I dont think it is weird to BF out in public But I did in a movie theater, restraunt( loved the dirty looks there!)

My mom said that a parent came into the cafeteria at the elementary school she teaches one day to eat with her kid and started nursing there. I am all about nursing in public and really commend those that do it, but to do it infront of a bunch of elementary school kids is kind of inappropriate if you ask me. I just feel that if the kids don't have the option to go somewhere else, or to have their parents there to tell them to stop staring (because kids do that) then you shouldn't do it there. I would have gone to my car, but that's just me.

I'm preggo, and I believe it should be pumped or go someplace quiet. I don't want to see it, esp in a restaurant. Yesterday in the base pharmacy this woman whipped her boob out and didn't even try to cover it up. A lot of soldiers turned red and were really embarassed.

The only place I have seen it and thought it was odd was in a smoke-filled bar. It wasn't that I was uncomfortable with it, I was just shocked that someone had a tiny infant in a smoke-filled bar and was drinking and smoking while breastfeeding.

I'm very pro-bfing. I think it is an awesome thing to do. I hope that when I have children of my own I can exclusively BF for at least 6 months, and hope to BF to at least a year if possible.

I have seen someone do it at a cafe. Well it was alfresco so we were outside. She was sitting across from me and i didn't mind. The mother & baby looked so smitten and it was nice to see someone looking happy like that- lol that must so sound so weird, i wasn't staring at her boobies- but the look on her face was calm and pleasent.

Yes I have BF in bathrooms, changing rooms, nursing areas, on a bench in the mall, my car, while grocery shopping, anyother tyoe of shopping, at home, at a friends, at the doctors you name it if I have been there with a nursing child I have done it. :lmao I did the same thing. You should have seen the looks. I saw a woman pumping while her dh was driving down the highway and I gave her BIG smile. She gave me a half grin and I realized that I may have freaked her out!!:lol

I dont think anywhere is weird but I have seen it at parks, resturants. I agree that doing it in a bathroom is not pleasant and it shouldnt be done there. Unfortunately I was soooooo embarassed in the begining that that is where I did it untill she got older and then I'd do it in the car. My boobs are big so its hard to be discreet. AND if you "dont want to see it" then dont look. simple.

I know everyone talks about being discreet, but it is hard when you have DD's. I did my best, but instead of people giving me funny looks cause "they dont want to see it" I just went to my car. Or found a place where I could seclude myself.

When you have a child and you breastfeed, your boobs are NO LONGER sexual things when the child is in question and you have to feed. As far as I'm concerned they are bottles that look different.

I intend to breast feed ALL of our children. And if I'm not there to feed then I will pump and have breastmilk available for my children. I don't understand why breastfeeding is such a feau pax now. It's nothing to be ashamed of.

Sit at the dinner table with a blanket over your head while you have dinner. Something tells me you wouldn't be able to eat. Today i was at the mall and tried to do the blanket thing, but couldn't, finally I just opted that if people got bugged they could suck it up...it was way tooooo warm that Aidan wouldn't stay latched on...That's not just rough on the child, but on the mother too...Have you ever had your nipple pulled across your chest because your baby is so warm that they are uncomfortable??? YEAH SUCKS!! (no pun intended!!!!)

No one in particular, I just hate when people say "cover up..." HA! Half the time I am so hot that the fact that I am wearing clothing is huge!! It's cumbersome and unfair to expect me to shift into massive modest mode when no one else in the world give a rats behind one way or another.
