I'm in a pissy mood today because of this weather. Sure I should be thrilled that it is almost 80 today BUT this week the temps get cold again. I am so tired of 50's and 60's. This is almost May and not the temps I WANT:tears

When it was nice weather we always took the kids to Independence Grove(I think thats the name0 park on Buckley. The have trails, you can fish and in the summer they have a place to swim and get ice cream. Brookfield Zoo was another favorite.

Haha I am usually alone in this, but I LOVE it here.

We are always doing things. We started a volunteer program that we do twice a month with our girls and I am usually out and about with them. (I'm from Idaho and hubby Montana so the cold doesn't bother us too much!) I also run a Navy Kids Korner I do once a month which is basically a Mom and tot's arts/crafts hour at a nursing home.

Moving here from Japan, it's SOOO much easier to drive around and get places since everything is in english, haha!

We are going to the Shedd Aquarium next week, just the girls and me while hubby is at work, with some of my girlfriends.

If you can find your own little niche here and some parks and such around, it's pretty nice!

(I will say, though, we have an indoor *shelf* at our house full of playdough, paints, and coloring things and other stuff we do indoors when the weather is icky!)

Oh hey, on Wednesday I am having another Navy Kids Corner, I slacked this month and didn't get very many moms but you are more than welcome to come. It's at 3 pm and pm if you want the details. Anyone from GL is invited! :D
