We've stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian. I like it there. One good thing about it is for breakfast you can go next door to the Hale Koa to eat there. It is cheaper than the Hilton for food and just as good IMO. Well for the breakfast at least.

We just came back from there. cool. we stayed at the hale koa so we were right by the hilton. it looked really nice, but the beach is not that great right there and it is far from the heart of waikiki. that'd be my only complaint. parking is a pain in waikiki so you'd be better off driving around. we ate at dukes which is in the outrigger and it looks really nice and it's in a good area. i don't know where the hyatt is. have fun!

The hilton! They are always great. I swear by them in foreign cities! Can't really ever go too wrong with them.

Plus hilton gives discounts to service members- so that's always good.

I say the Hilton Hawaiian because it's right next to the Hale Koa and you can also use their amenities such as the restaurants and such. The Hilton grounds are soooo pretty, and they also have penguins. :shock

Hands down to Hilton Hawaiian, I love that hotel. You could always park at the Hale Koa too since it's right next to the Hilton.

The Outrigger is nice too, but I like the Hilton better. :)

That's true, parking at the Hale Koa is cheaper. The parking garage is across the street from the hotel.

I don't know the daily parking rate though. When we go to Waikiki, we park in the Ft. Derussy parking which is next to the Hale Koa parking garage and we only pay $2 or $3 for a few hours. The prices for the two are the same.

Hilton!!!!!
I've stayed there twice for Sub Ball. It's DIRECTLY next door to the Hale Koa, so you'll be able to go to the exchange there. :D There's also parking at Ft. Derrusy(*sp) which isn't expensive AT ALL!

Thank you ladies!! So we can park at the Hale Koa even if we are not staying there? Anyone remember the price for that parking?

You can always call there, and ask. Just tell them that you are staying at the Hilton, but want to park at the Hale Koa or Ft. Durussey (spelling?).

I just saw on the Hale Koa website they have a referral program where if they are all booked they can acomodate you in a different hotel, I guess they would honor the rate. I dunno but I will call tomorrow and ask.

It is a huge parking garage across the street. Anyone can park there, anytime. You still have to pay for it but it is really inexpensive for junior enlisted.

The Hale Koa is very nice, I would try to stay there. But otherwise I would go for the Hilton.

I dont know about parking prices, we mostly walked and when we rented a car it was for site seeing around the island.

I would really apreciate it but I think they say their parking was $6 or did I read it somewhere? LOL We are on the waiting list on the Hale Koa if they call within this week that would be awesome!!! but if not we will have to stay somewhere else.
