My SO is going to be stationed there next and I'm going with him. We're headed there in a few months and I'm still not sure what to expect. Can anybody tell me anything?

Well, I don't frequent there nearly as often as Fort Richardson in Anchorage, but it's a fairly nice place. I won't lie - some people love it, and other absolutely hate it. The winters are cold and the summers are hotter than the rest of the state. But, the people are really friendly and you shouldn't have any trouble finding new friends. :D Anything specific that you were wondering about that I may be able to help you with?

Fairbanks is one of the coldest cities in Alaska. But on the plus side, it's the warmest in the summer.
