When you fly with cats do you have to pay for each cat to fly? Are you allowed to put them in the same kennel? If you do that do you pay just one fee? Ive been looking it up online, and I cant find much.

As far as I know each cat has to have their own carrier with food and water. You also have to pay for each animal. If you plan on flying with pets soon, talk with your vet first, they will normally give you some meds for the animals to make them sleepy for the flight. HTH!

Im not flying soon, and even if I was my kittens are to young, from what I read they have to be 8 weeks. But they gotta be fixed, and vaccinated first. I just got them

I am in Japan with my two cats. The previous poster is right that they need to be in their own kennels. However, if they are going underneath, they can't be medicated--to the best of my knowledge. I was told (didn't see it in writing) that they can only have meds if they are riding under your seat with you as your carry on. This is because underneath they need to have all their wits about them due to stress etc of the flight.
They will be charged to you individually.
The fun thing was we paid for each of them from east coast to west coast and then the AMC made us pay AGAIN from west coast to Japan. So, keep that in mind, not sure where you are flying to.
And if you are flying overseas you need a health certificate within 10 days of flight.

With AA, they will NOT accept animals that have been medicated/sedated. You'll also need a health certificate no older than 10 days prior to your flight. Feel free to PM me. I had to fly my cat from Honolulu to San Diego, in the cargo hold...

Also, my cat got her vaccines at the time she got her health cert.
