If I had the chance I would do it. I wanted to donate my BM and I had about 300 ounces in my freezer; however, the place wanted about 3000 ounces!!:inshock It took my 4 months just to get that supply!

I think its really neat. The other day in our breastfeeding support group they had a rep from Medela come in and measured the calorie count of your breast milk. It was soooooo cool. They use it all the time with premature babies in the NICU so it was fun to learn about it. My calorie level in my breast milk was really high which they love and I have thought about donating some since I pump and she doesnt take a bottle anyways. The nurse was saying how good it was for the babies in the NICU to help them gain strength fast. She was talking also about all the antibiotics in breast milk. That someday they will use it for other things related to healing.

If I had the extra supply, I would definitely donate it. Goodness knows those babies could definitely use it.
