DB got his "official" deployment date. I think I am doing okay with it for the moment. I am not going to give dates but it is around the time that I expected. I know that at any unexpected moment I could completely lose it emotionally, but for tonight...I think I'm ok.

DB has taken a lot of time to really talk to me since he got back from leave. I try very hard not to pressure him to talk about things because I don't want to stress him. He has said "when I know, you'll know" and "don't listen to anyone but me" and he has never let me down.

Tonight I was laying on his chest watching TV and during a commercial I just asked "so have you heard a date yet?" and he just said "yeah, <INSERT DATE HERE>". I told him that was about the time we expected and we went back to watching tv...no tears, no drama.

So, I now have my date. I have a feeling I will be posting all sorts of emotional outbursts in the near future. Thanks for listening.

I'm here for you too!! I am glad that at least you got the date around the time you were expecting. DB told me he was extending for a year when we were watching tv and I was laying on his chest too...I had tears though...stay stong but it's okay to cry, have fits whatever that's what we are all here for!!! :hugs :hugs hang in there girly

I have a feeling the tears are going to come tomorrow when I have to tell my best friend the news. It just seems to be harder emotionally to actually say the words out loud for some reason? I will have to hold it together though because we will be at work. UGH!
