Do you set any for yourself? Besides the weightloss, I want to be out of credit card debt and have a significant amount of savings set aside. We hoepfully will be transferring soon after deployment. I also want to set a spiritual goal, and explore that side of myself. I want to be closer to my daughter as these are the beginning of her teenage years and I want her to know she can tell me and come to me for anything as always. I plan to try and have a closer relationship with my son.... I am also going to try and be a better person, not so quick to speak, judge or act.. Think things out prior to opening my big mouth. Oh yeah and I want to continue my work with the local horse rescues.. That is a big tension releiver for me....

I have a weightloss goal that I'm slowly getting to and a lot of financial stuff I'm helping him with. We set a spiritual one too and our prayers over the phone have been pretty cool.

I think deployment goals are wonderful. Certainly gives us something to focus on that helps to pass the time. Right now my DH is home, so I am not working on any goals, but the things that you listed are usually things on my list.

Ohh...I would like to be completely out of credit card debt and have built a decent sized savings account. I would also like to be in a position where if DBF wants me to move with him when he gets back, I could do it without a lot of hassle.

The weight thing is an every day for me so I have to just remind myself NOT to backslide.

i have set a few goals for myself and for us! i am working on being able to run 3 miles without stopping, and more after that...so i can keep up with db when he gets home! i am working on paying off my my credit cards so i have very little cc debt when he gets back. and we are getting a house together when he gets home so i am slowly but surely buying all of the things we will need for our house i made a big list and im checking things off one by one :) i like it because it gives me something to keep busy and look forward to!

:yes we do. :)

Our number one was to pay off all bills which we did.

Now my goal is to save 12K in 10 months and have 1 year of my degree out of the way before he is home. Also to get my teeth fixed and have my surgeries done to correct problems.

Our fist deployment I had a weight loss goal. The kids started coming the next one so I had no time for goals like that anymore. Being a single parent to my kid/kids when he was gone took over my life.:lol

Besides the typical getting my finances straight and losing weight my biggest goal while db's been gone was redecorating the house, and to finish the home improvment projects we started before he left... so far its not going as good as I wanted, I bought a few new things for the house, but my guest room is still only half painted.... maybe i'll finish that next week since i have a break from school.

I always have goals when my dh deploys. They always change based on what is going on in our lives right before he deploys.

I do have a few goals. Buy each of us a nice dresser and get night stands that look good with our bed. Get some money into savings. Lose a little bit of weight. get my kids to go to bed and stay in bed instead of getting up and playing and working on my daughters whining. Thats about it.

With this deployment it will all be baby related. Just to have a healthy baby and somehow not go crazy. :giggle

Pay off some of DH's debt off as well as have a good amount put in savings. But that is pretty much what we set each time. I am also going to really push to lose all my extra weight from pregnancy and from just slacking off this cruise as well.

I had all these grand plans but they went out the window. Good luck everyone!
