USMC ISSUED 04-28-2007, 10:19 AM my best advice is to talk to a counsler ... sometimes inadvertantly certain things can trigger these... bunkie 04-28-2007, 10:21 AM Its not me, I have always had nightmares. Its dh, he has ptsd but can't talk to anyone while he is there. He doesn't have time and he wants to finish this rotation with his "boys." I was wondering if there was some way I could help. goldilockz 04-28-2007, 10:21 AM The best thing for them is time and maybe talking to a counselor. Also, clear your mind and think of all the things in life that are good like family and friends and children before going to sleep. If you go to sleep angry or stressed or something, it can amplify nightmares. It took about 7 or 8 months for my nightmares to slow down. I still have them occasionally, but they're not as often or as bad. |
