DBF has been getting some info from his higher ups about his deployment. It looks like he is going to be somewhere that is pretty remote right now. No internet and not sure about phones. He won't be taking his cell. So it looks like we will be snail mailing. Amazingly, I took that news better than I thought I would. :rolleyes

I was more concerned about whether or not he would have showers and a bed than I was about his internet access. :dunno I know nothing is final so we will take things as they come. Everything in the military changes. I know he is only telling me what he has been told and won't know until he gets there and gets settled. I know he hates to handwrite anything, but every other word out of my mouth is "make sure you get me an address as soon as you get a chance". I have to get those care packages rolling! (I told him his friends are going to hate him because I am going to be "Care Package Queen") :teehee

So I fully expect that I am going to become that snippy girl who gets jealous of all the ladies who get to hear from their guy every day. I apologize in advance for the future outbursts. :neener

i hope he will have access to the internet! but at least you will have lots of letters to hold on to if he doesnt. my db HATES to write anything, even emails, so i would just die if we had no internet, because i know he wouldn't write me any letters, he's only written one email as it is, the rest is on messenger. anyways care packages are the best, fun to put together and fun for them to get! hang in there girly keep your chin up! :hugs

We are in those shoes too. I randomly hear from him on the phone so in the meantime we do snail mail.

That's too bad. On the bright side itll be like an old time romance right? You can get pretty creative with letters. I hope you find out he'll be able to get some internet/phone access! :hugs and :goodvibes

yeah my DB doesn't like to handwrite much, I got one card when he first got over there. I put an envelope already adressed to me and blank paper in my last letter, maybe he'll bite and write back hehe;)

I have fun writing letters, it lets me really think about things...so I know you'd much rather have phone/internet but snail mail isn't so terrible.
