I don't know what to answer 'cuz I'm still bf'ing. I hope to go 1-2 years. Two years would be ideal, dunno if that'll happen. Minimum of one year tho'.

I went right around a year

6 months with my first, supplemented a bit.

8 months with my second and did not supplement at all with her. (She was getting WAY too aggressive with the teeth!) :nutts

I only had emily on the auctual breast for a week. I pumped for both children.

Right around 4 months with ds.

2yrs with my first one , 1 yr with my second and Im going a year to two with Annabelle...I have no problem with milk fortunately.

I didn't vote. I just reached 6months with Miss K and plan to continue nursing for at least another 6 months.

With my first I did some BF and supplemented with formula for around 5-6 months (I just couldn't produce more milk after that).
With my second I BF exclusively for 12 months. She never had formula, went straight from BF to regular milk.
With this kiddo I'm hoping to do the same, at least 12 months :)

I was young and completely freaked out about. To the point of panic attacks. I have boob issues... I don't like them touched or anything. I get a weird feeling over me and it makes me nausaus. I don't know why Im a freak of nature I think. And it also just scared and panicked me to think of him being on me for so many hours out of the day... Maybe I was a selfish mother... alot of family thought I was. But, I loved bottle feeding Jer.
Seeing motherhood shows like Babystory and Bringing home Baby... so many of these woman are up all night long feedng every 15 mins all night and then all day to. When do you have your time? baby off me free??
I haven't decided that when we have the next if I will attempt or not... I think I may try but Im not going to panic about it. If it doesn't work for me I will stop. I just will cross that bridge when it comes.
I applaud all of you BF'ing Mommys... I think its so awesome! :D

1st one 7months,2nd one 19months and the one that is on the way at least a year or a little longer.

With my dd I only lasted 2 months and she was never exclusively bf'd. With ds I have been bf'ing for almost 9 months and he's not showing any signs of slowing down (he also has no teeth yet so that helps :D ). I'll let him tell me when he's ready to wean :)

I voted both 0-3 and 10-12 as with z i was able to bf 3 months and with this one, my goal is 10-12 months. we shall see

Trent was 17 1/2 months when he decided he was done. Any other children will also be child-wean

Due to a low milk supply established by the lactation consult and the ped I was only able to BF my son for 4.5 months. But that wasnt lack of trying. I tried everything in the book.

My daughter was BF for 6 weeks

I had problems and didn't even make it to 3 months. The next baby will be different though (I hope :pray). Ideally, I'd like to make it to a year.

about 15 months with the first and about a year for the last two.

I voted I didn't b/c I only breastfed for 3 days. My milk never came in and ella was starving. I tried pumping and everything but would pump all day and only get 1/2 an oz so I quit. My mother told me to beware that my boobs would hurt as the milk dried up but nothing every happend. I never felt anything "let down" or anything. So I just don't think I produced. With Landen I plan to try. I will give an effort and see where that takes us. If it doesn't work out he'll be formula fed like his sister was.

Only a few weeks with Jaxon... I think we stopped at around 3 weeks.

3-4 months with Shelby but I did supplement some.

2 months with Hunter and would have liked to have gone longer but we had major reflux issues that breastfeeding did not help. So, we switched him to a formula with rice starch and that helped a lot.

If you nurse that long, you wont have to worry about formula! Once they hit a year old, babys are able to drink cows milk

She was roughly 15 months old when we stopped. It was somewhat her weaning herself. At that point she was only nursing once a day so we just slowly stopped doing even that one day.

Katrina nursed until about 20ish mo. She self weaned, which is how we prefer it. Aidan will self wean too. Katrina recently asked to nurse again b/c brother was doing it...but when she tried it she opted to not do it anymore...

After she weaned, I transitioned her to Soymilk, then slowing to cow's milk...

It was about two months before I had to stop with Preston. I wasn't able to give him enough, and he's a much happier baby now that he's getting enough to eat. It broke my heart to have to stop though. :sadeyes

My son was 5-6 months when we stopped. Both my dd's are over 1 year when we will have finished. I am trying to wean my youngest now.

18 months and I stopped it. He was just using me to pacify himself and I was tired of it by that time. I am happy that I went as far as I did!

Emily wouldn't latch on, so I was unable to BF her

I tried to BF Noah, and that lasted about a week. I didn't produce enough milk, since I had a breast reduction a few years prior.

Blake was about 6-7 months with some formula supplement. Jer was 3 weeks, He had BAD reflux and could only hold down special formula.

6 months...I would have gone longer but I dried up :(

#1 - 8 weeks and I went back to work
#2 - 6 weeks as we kept passing thrush back and forth and I was never treated and didn't know anything back then
#3 - 8 months He got his first cold and with his respiratory issues he couldn't nurse and breath. I ended up with mastitis. It was a hard 8 months of nursing to begin with because of his reflux and other issues anyway
#4- 16ish months and she self weaned

Madison quit at 12 months on her own, Hayden I BF until maybe around 13-14 months but he wasn't nursing much and I think it was more of a comfort thing and we stopped.

I can't vote since I'm still BF'ing. But so far we have made it 7 months. Not a single ounce of formula has touched his lips :woohoo

I tried right from the get go with Ellie, and she did awesome in the hospital. But once we got her home, she just wouldnt cooperate. She was sooo hungry and it took about an hour or longer to satisfy her becuase I hadnt gotten any milk in until she was about 8 days old so all she was getting was cholostrum. So when she was about 5 days old we gave her a couple of ounces of formula cuz she kept sucking and sucking and sucking and then screaming because NOTHING was coming out. After that, we gave her formula at night and I tried and tried allll day to BF her. When my milk finally did come in, there wasnt enough to feed her all day, so I pumped in the middle of the night and BF'd her during the day. But at 3 weeks old I had to have emergency surgery and with all the crap in my system, I didnt want her to have that, so we gave her mainly formula and what breast milk that I had frozen. After my second surgery (almost 2 weeks in the hospital) I was completely dried up.

I tried to go back to BFing when she was about 10 weeks or so with help of a hormone thing, but it just caused a lot of problems and the milk wouldnt come out. It came in, just not out, so we just stopped trying all together.

With the next one, I want to try for about 6 months at least. I dont care if its straight from me or from a bottle as long as he gets it!
