That's right - because of my handy dandy foodsaver the meat that I thawed out to cook while hubby was here - but ended up not doing so - will be just fine for weeks in the fridged, thawed and ready for his next weekend home :)

I'm so glad I bought this thing! I won't be wasting any food!

Yeah - Foodsaver brand, it was the cheapest in my tiny circle of stores to buy from but I know there are cheaper ones out there.

I love it - it worked out great for the super-cheapo strawberries they had at the commy the last time I went, bought 12 pints - sliced, diced, frozen :)

You can do that?I didn't know I could leave meat I had saved in there in the fridge for any period of time.
