Now its not really a problem for me, but more my husband. Our male kitten Dog :lol has been stepping in his own poop, and then jumping on my husband. Getting poop everywhere!!!!!!!
My husband is threatning to get rid of the little guy, but I keep telling him that its not his fault.
Anyone have any tips on maybe how to stop this? Or if I can even stop this? I dont know if he is stepping on it, or just pooping on himself.

We had this problem with one of our recent additions. It lasted for about a month and then she got the hang of using the litter box WITHOUT getting poo on her paws. It may just be a coordination issue or it may be that he is not sure what to do in the box. Have you observed him going? I would make a point to watch (I know, not pleasant but a lot of pet issues aren't, lol) and see what, exactly, is causing the poo to get on his feet. If it is a coordination/balance issue it is a matter of him needing to grow and mature a little and it will probably improve. If he doesn't seem to know what to do in the box (ie bury his poo, etc) it may be that he is (or was) immature and didn't have the advantage of being with his mother/littermates long enough to learn by seeing (a lot of kitten behaviour is monkey see/monkey do which is why many breeders keep the kittens to 12 weeks or beyond - giving them full opportunity to learn the lessons they best learn from the mother and littermates) how it is done. Do you have a multiple cat household? How often do you clean the box? Is the box easy for the kitty to enter and exit? What type of litter are you using? With our poo-footed kitten I realized (by observing her) that she had a little balance/coordination issue and that the box was difficult for her to enter/exit easily (due to the balance) because of the way the door sits. I got a box that was lower and much easier for her to use and that helped - she still had a mild problem for a while but did outgrow it.
In the meantime, the easiest thing is to just be aware of kitty and what he is doing. When you see him (or hear him) in the box, standby and be ready to pick him up when he is done. Take him to the sink and rinse his paws clean. This eliminates the lovely issue of having poo tracked about the house and onto your DH.
Mine does this sometimes... I swear he isnt "all there" :lol
Just make sure the litter box is kept very clean, that way he can cover it good. That is ours issue. Even if he has ONE little poop in there he for some odd reason cant cover the new one. :screwy

Our male did the same thing..we actually had to go to a bigger litter pan and make sure he had at least 3 inches of litter in there to cover his poop with. Do not use a covered pan until he gets the hang of hopping out of the box. Once he's older you can go to a covered pan. Also Bub got used to us constantly washing his big feet.
