ok so my daughter will be 2 in august and i think she is ready for her big girl bed so i took one of the sides off so it kinda looks like a day bed she has a 2 n 1 crib but anyways so we tried that tonight an it was hell she wouldnt lay down in it unless i was there sitting next to her bed and when she rolled on her side and had her back to me i was like yes! my chance to escape :P then she reached her hand out to touch my face then finally she started snoring i was like yay! shes asleep :yahoo :P but i sure hope she stays there. so i put some pillows on the floor in case she does fall cuz she is a heavy sleeper and tomorrow i am going to go to wal*mart to get the mesch thing that hooks to the bottom of the bed so she doesnt fall off. is there any advice you ladies with older children can give me on keeping her in the bed or any techniches lol thanks for reading

We sometimes had to be stern with DS for him to stay in bed other times DH would stand at the door slightly cracked to make sure he stayed in bed. I'm know other moms to use a a baby gate at the door to make sure they stay in too it takes awhile

she did really good last night. she only got out once

We put a gate in Ethans doorway and never had a problem. When he is tired he goes to bed. If he isnt tired he gets a book and lays in bed with it.

thats great she is starting to do the same thing earlier when she was tired she craped her dad2 which is what she calls her duck and went right to her bed i was like :cp :cp she is getting the hang of it lol
