Does anyone feed their dogs Canidae dog food? I am considering switching to that (from Iams chunks) and was just wanting opinions! Thanks!

I feed my dogs Canidae and they do GREAT on it. I will never feed another brand. Here's the low down on dog food it should never contain wheat, soy, corn, grain fractions, fillers or by-products. The first 3-4 ingredents should always be meat. The best kind is one that says Meal right behide the kind of meat it mean that the meat has been dried and water removed so the your pet is getting the best protien. If it just list a meat like chicken but does not have meal behide it, it means the the meat is 70% or more water and thats a bad thing. Hope this helped.

We feed Canidae at the kennel, its good stuff. I feed Fromm at home and love it. Solid Gold, Wellness, TimberWolf, Artemis, and Natural Balance are all great foods, too.

Thank you so much. I think I'm going to switch my dog! I have a foster dog coming in that eats that so I might as well have all one type of food plus it sounds much better for my Guinness!

Thats not true about the first three ingredients either...We used to feed wellness whitefish and sweet potato, and the first two were fish and sweet potatos.

Canidae is a good food, a lot of our clients feed it!

We feed Origen now...Our dogs coats are so shinny it looks like we wax them!
