Alleged sex assault on girl, 4, prompts HPD search

An unidentified man who allegedly sexually assaulted a 4-year-old girl in her north Houston home early today eluded police who seached the neighborhood, officials said.
The incident was reported at 4:06 a.m., Houston police spokesman Victor Senties said.
The girl's father heard sounds and reported a man fleeing the home in the 600 block of Apache, Senties said.
The father told police the intruder appeared to be a Hispanic male in his 30s.
