Can that stop you from becomming pregnant? I found out last year that I had a cyst on my Left ovary and I am kinda really upset, :tears :tears AF started today and I am just so upset! Also, with BC can it stop you from conceiving after you stop taking it? I was on it since Oct 05. Zovia a birth control pill helps to shrink ovarian cysts. I had a cyst on one of my ovaries too, and I take that, it helped a lot. From what I've heard cysts can make it harder in the future to get pregnant but mainly only when they burst.

when I had mine they told me that it would more than likely go away naturally and it does NOT affect your fertility. That was my main concern at the time and she explained that they are normal and most women get them but they usually leave on their own or with ANY BC you are on and that women don't lose fertility because of it.

Well I stopped taking my bc last month, does it take a while for it to get out of your system? I think that is what I was asking! THanks

It can take a few cycles for the BC to get out and your cycles to regulate. Depends on your body etc. I had cysts galore due to my PCOS and the 1 time I went on birth control as a kid I had no period for months afterwards. But that was because of my PCOS.

Also cysts can be normal. When you ovulate your ovary creates a cyst called the corpus lutem cyst and that is what pumps out progesterone. If you get pregnant that cycle the cyst remains and continues producing progesterone until the placenta takes over at 12 weeks. If you dont get pregnant the cyst dissaptes and a period starts. So not all cysts are bad ;)

Well they never said that anything was wrong with the cyst, They said it was ok. I never had any problems with it really but I saw something where someone said this woman could not have kids because she had cyst on her ovaries and I though OMG could that happen to me?
