DH wants to fly home from Hawaii when they do the Tiger Cruise and they are letting people do that, but it's JUST a WEEK. If it was more than that, then I'd be all about it, but it's JUST a WEEK. I figure we might as well save that money for "family" things, like going camping or a weekend trip. He agrees, now that I pointed it out, but still, I feel bad... :dramaqueen

My BIL is on the Stennis and he told my sister that if he was one of the ones to leave, he didnt have to go back....maybe he misunderstood cuz whats what hes telling us.

It is so worth it though Joy! I have had my dh do that before and it was nice.

Did you price it out?

RIGHT NOW>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> the price is $185

:shock that is AWESOME

BUT, he's :quote might :quote be on the early det list... that's the biggest hesitation there :sigh

And yes, he is on the Stennis :D and most commands will let them take their leave FROM Hawaii, they will not have to return until the end of their "leave"

My dh did that back in March, it was wonderful seeing him early, he had 20 days leave.

Rod flew home once from hawaii when he was on the Lincoln. I was actually glad he did it because it made our homecoming nice and quiet. Plus after they had been extended and it turned out to be 10 months gone, it was nice having him home. We'd done the regular homecomings and thought it was kinda nice just us at the airport...

It is alot of $ and something to consider tho
