I don't understand. What is EMN1? DB advanced to EMN1 but I don't know what it is and him being silly didn't tell me.

That's great! Your DB is a nuke electrician and just advanced to first class petty officer (EM = Electricians Mate, EMN = Electricians Mate Nuclear). My DH is EMN :D

He just emailed me and said all of that. I am in shock right now. He was an EM2 now he is a a petty officer.

An EM2 is a petty officer too hon :)

EM3, EM2, and EM1 are all petty officers. Third class, second class, then first. After that come EMC, which is Chief petty officer.

My husband is now an EMN1 too!!!
So your DB is an E-6 now as well!!!
