Does anyone use it? If so, do you use photoshop or some other program? How do you like it and how easy was it to learn?

I use Paint Shop pro 9.0 I love it, and it was very easy to learn.

I have Photoshop CS2 and Paint Shop Pro X. Personally, I find Paint Shop Pro (PSP) more user friendly for people who aren't that familiar with editing programs, but Photoshop has a lot more cool plug-ins and actions you can buy and add to it. PSP is a LOT cheaper too. LOL. I usually edit my photos in PSP and then if I want to use an action on it I open it with Photoshop, unless I am shooting in RAW. Then I just use Photoshop.

I mostly use Photoshop but I also use Paint Shop Pro.

Personally i really don't dig PSP. I'm a photoshop girl. as far as i know neither program is "easy" persay, it's all about practice :) just stick with it.

I love my photoshop. For me, it's really easy to use and I just "get it." I don't like imageready though. Can't create anything without an exhausting HTML. *sigh*

I used to have PSP 7, and I liked that okay. But I've always been a photoshop girl at heart (from version 4 - CS2)... once you find one you like it becomes pretty easy to use.

I use PSP 9... I like it. Havent really tried anything else, its always been PSP for me.

I was leaning more towards PSP because it was cheaper. My biggest fear is not being able to use it and it not being worth the money.

There are tons of books and online tutorials for it so don't worry about not being able to use it. PSP and Photoshop are the most popular programs so both of them will always have books and websites about them.

I love photoshop Cs2!
It's been relatively easy for me to learn, I had a great photographer teach me the basics, and from there, it's just experimentation and learning!

i use a combination of paintshop pro and the outdated photoshop 6 :)

I use Paint Shop Pro 7, and Photoshop CS2. I'm more of the PSP girl though, it's just easier to use, and my computer seems to have a fit everytime I open up Photoshop.

Only Photoshop for me. It's all I've ever used for photo editing, sigs, avatars, creating images, etc. DH and I are PS addicts. We can sit for days just "playing" on Photoshop. It's all about practice. Learn some basics by playing around or getting some free online tutorials, then work your way up and start developing your skills more and more as you see more and more things you want to edit with your pictures. If you're looking for something cheaper and pretty user-friendly - I recommend Photoshop Elements. It's a great program and has built-in Filters and Effects to use--not as fancy as the full Photoshop, but it's still great!

I use CS2, CS3, PSP XI, Photoshop Elements... all with Nik Multimedia Filters... I'm addicted. LOL

I personally don't use photo shop - but my SIL does. She is on her's 24/7 she's addicted! Well when she isn't at class.

All the tags with her name on it is the one's she did. If you want to learn how to do that - she said she has places you can go to learn how to make some for yourself/others. She's been making some stuff like that since '99 though. I personally think all the amazing stuff she's done isn't on there.. because she does some OUT STANDING stuff.

I totally agree. My dh got CS2 for me last year and without the extra online help, I would still be lost!

Thanks for all the advice! I think I'm going to go with Photoshop Cs2 or Elements. I'm going to wait til DB gets a couple pay checks and then hint I want it for my belated birthday present

i took a graphic design class and loved doing the things in that class. hated the teacher loved the class. we made a portfolio at the end of the year and i got certified for it and everything. i dig it.
