My Dr did tell me to expect to go overdue. He said alot of women do go overdue with their first. But obviously not always. The baby will come when ready...But it is more common to go overdue with your first.

i think sometimes, "old hats" like to try to scare "new moms" with stories of painful, long labors and long pregnancies.

I was pton complete bedrest with Ethan at 22 weeks because I kept going into labor, his due date was May 29th, I was induced May 28th (my doctor was going out of town and wanted him delivered).

50 weeks? Who the heck told her that!

I had both my kids early. Cory was 2 days early. I really felt like he was over due though. I think my due date was wrong. Lily was born 4 days early. I felt like she was early but the mid wife said she was over due.

No! That myth is not always true. I had Taylor 3 weeks early, AND my water broke. I heard that with your first baby your water usually doesn't break.

A baby will be born when the time is right... sometimes early, sometimes late and sometimes with a little help...

My son was born on his due date, but I ended up having an emergency c-section.

i think people try to scare us new mommies. But I feel he'll come when he's ready to come. My mom let me know that I was 3 weeks LATE :lol I am guessing she was miserable since it was her first pregnancy and i didn't want to come out. :lol
