View Full Version : Frocking ceremony (Navy) AG2Wife 06-02-2007, 06:28 AM What goes on at a frocking? What would be the appropriate thing to wear? DD & I have been invited to DH's frocking but I didn't go to DH's 3rd class frocking, so I don't know what to expect MelissaMc424 06-02-2007, 10:37 AM I'd say some nice slacks and a blouse, dress shoes and stuff.. I always look professional when I go to the command for things like that.. He'll be presented with a letter saying he's now allowed to wear the uniform of a petty officer 2nd class and a certificate, then they'll frock him. They should allow you to frock him if you're there. I know a lot of wives who've been able to do it. I've missed all of DH's since he's been gone for all of them. I was waaaaaaaaay over dressed! (it was a dress you would wear to a wedding) and everyone else was wearing aloha attire!! Good luck!! Yeppers... it can be a let down when you've got expectations.. I think that's one of the reasons DH wasn't too bummed when I couldn't be there for his.
