if you had to describe "love" to someone, how would you describe it?

how would you describe the feelings and emotions?

if love was a color, what color would it be to you?

A friend of mine asked me today these questions...how would you answer them?

Butterflies at the thought of seeing them. A strange, comforting "ache" in the limbs. Shortness of breath when you are touched by that person. Knowing within yourself that you would walk to the ends of the earth if they needed you. Not hesitating to stand by their side, right or wrong. Warmth and chills at the same time. Smiling when you're not even near that person, just because you suddenly thought of them.

I think love's color evolves with the kind of emotion you feel at the moment. When you love him passionately, it's red, flames, licking at you. When you love him through the hurt, it's green and blue and sometimes shades of grey. When you can't stop laughing and smiling and tickling each other it's a bright yellow, happy and sunny.

NEVER wanted to let go - no matter how bad things can be at a certain point. When you are red-in-the-face, fists clenched pissed but can still know in your heart and head that you wouldn't leave them for the world.

i would say love is white, because of how pure it is. sometimes it can take on other colors when mixed with happiness, excitement, sorrow, etc. but strip all that away, and i'd say it's white.

Technically, white is all colors combined. So I agree that love is white. It is ALL emotions thrown together.

That's what I was thinking.

But is love and happiness the same?
or is happiness what takes to exist every day. and relationships take work every day. and love just IS?

We had this talk today at work..and it got me thinking.

i would say, love is the only feeling, you can never REALLY describe. no matter what you say, it's more intense than that. there is such a huge difference between loving someone and being IN LOVE with someone. when you're in love with someone, you just KNOW. everything gets intensified by a hundred times, you physcially cant breathe when you think about them. maybe that's just me though? :wub

and i was going to say white as the color, also. every color combined, because love is every emotion combined.
