I like to send things that he can have fun with... wiffle balls and bats, paddle balls, nerf footballs, etc. When my hubby's been deployed, it seems that the kids toys are the most fun. It's fun to add kiddie candies too!
On the other end of the spectrum, get a VS catalog and have him pick out several things that he really likes and email the item number back to you... you can pick the one you like and tell him it's his final deployment gift. In the last box that you send, make / print coupons that are 'suggestive'. Nothing like a little anticipation! ;)

i sent dh some of those little cheap handheld games. I cant remember what one it was but he said theone i sent him was a hit with everyone in his division.
I like the VS idea.

Oh, if you have the time and are baking stuff to send him... send enough for his shop or division. There's always kids in the group that don't get things from home that truly appreciate the thought from someone who cares!

This may sound dorky, lol but i've done a lot of little craft things for him. Like recently I painted a clothes pin and decorated it with little hearts and then attached it to the letters i had put in the package. One time i made him a hemp bracelet, plain, but he loved that I was putting time into something for him, and that i was thinking about him
