Would it be lame if I got my husband a banner?

This is really his second deployment, but we didn't really do anything big for his first. I know he's only going to be gone for 2-3 months, but I thought it would be nice for him to come home to ... hanging on the fence with some balloons. :dunno

I should also put that this will more than likely be his very last deployment, since we're getting out in March 2008.

well since you didn't do anything for his first.. i'm sure he'll be totally suprised. and of course you should do it!! we all love to feel special. and congratulations for almost getting out! we still have another year

I think it's a really nice idea - I'm sure he'd love to come home to that.

Well, for the first homecoming, I flew to San Diego and spent the week with him. He deployed right after we were married, so I wasn't living with him. That's why nothing really happened for it. He just got me. :wub

But this time, we have a home, etc. Maybe I will. :thinking

I'd do a banner. Why not??? It shows him how much you've missed him and love him.

Hey we do a banner every time... My last one said "goodbye teddy bear hello Lcpl _______ !" This one is going to say "hey Cpl ______ come help me take off this lip gloss"

I do one!!! I was worried he would think it was lame last yr but he loved it and all his coworkers saw it outside his house and really thought it was great I went the extra mile for him. So no embarrassment there.

I would! One reason I made mine for this deployment was to help pass the time in that last week that dragged on forever!

OK. Now I just have to find someone that will ship it to an FPO box!

If your Lame what does that make me???? I plan on making Dh everytime he goes out. I am already planning on decorating the house like the President of The United states is coming to visit. I plan to every time he goes out. If anyone says anything oh well don't care. I'm happy he is home and I plan on the world knowing " MY BABY IS HOME!!!!!!!":wacko

I would do it. I always make a huge deal of homecoming last time my oldest DS and I made a poster hung ballons, streamers, a big flag, and I got a cake.

I think I will go all out. This is the last time I'll be able to.

He'll turn bright red, laugh self-consciously and say, "Thank you, Baby. I missed you too."
