HEY MY BF IS IN THE ARMY IN AIT RIGHT NOW, AND WE ARE TALKING ABOUT GETTING MARRIED ON HIS LEAVE AFTER AIT, CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHERE I CAN FIND INFO ON THE PAPERWORK AND WHAT ALL YOU NEED TO DO BEFORE YOU CAN GET MARRIED WITH THE MILITARY, AND IF THERE IS MAYBE A WEBSITE THAT TELLS YOU WHAT POSTS YOU ARE ALLOWED TO TRAVEL TO WITH YOUR SOLDIER AS A NEW SPOUSE??? I NEED ANSWERS PLEASE :)

honestly, i dont think there's anything along those lines. unless he's sent somewhere "unaccompanied" i don't think there's limitations....

type in "spouse benefits for military members" or "getting married while in the military" in google, you'll find a lot.

my only advice-- just make sure you're doing this for all the RIGHT reasons...and marriage is what you truly want :D good luck!

at first i was worried we might be rushing it, but now i have this feeling of never having been so sure of anything in my life, i mean i know its not going to be easy but i know it is the right thing for me :) yea i was just wondering if there was a way i could find out which posts are unaccompanied, and if we got married over his 2 week leave or whatever if i would be able to move back with him as soon as he went back or if you have to wait a while

well I know with the USMC you can move right in with your SO after getting married, but it did take some time for BAH to kick in. It should say in his orders whether or not it is unacompanied or not. Good Luck with everything

try "Military One Source" or Army One Source online. not sure if they have info on JOP paperwork, but can probably tell you more about travelling as a new spouse. good luck & congrats!

Have no clue about the Army but the Marines let you know what has to be done after the JOP

The only places I know of that you won't be able to accompany him (Army wise) as a spouse would be if he's deployed to Iraq, or is stationed around that area. I know that there has been talk about Mikey being stationed in Kuwait after his deployment is over...and I hope not (although the pay would be great, and it is a fantastic area for his MOS), because they won't allow spouses there.

Congrats on the engagement!!!!!
