I have made 2 quilts in the last week!! I am teaching my 12 yr old DD how to sew!!

making quilts is fun!!! I'm actually working on my first one right now!!!! I can't wait to see it finished!!!!

Do you know of any websites that help you to make one. I really would like to make one and my hubby said he is giving me til April 1 to make one but I have no idea where to start.

try JoAnns website or even Hancock Fabrics, and then they can link you to quilting books and stuff like that... you could even search Quilting shops in your area with a search engine and maybe find something. They have classes and a lot of them will get you to make a quilt in just a few weeks!!!

I love quilting. I made one with my MIL before we moved out here - she was teaching me. It's so fun, but I get so sad when it's done LOL...

Thanks. This is a whole new thing for me. I have never sewed in my life. John's grandma got me a sewing machine last week and now he expects me to make all kinds of stuff. Once I get started I will be really anxious to see the finished product, too.

no you don't have to have a sewing machine, but it makes it MUCH easier and faster!!! machine quilting has become the new age of quilting, though some people still hand quilt

I quilt qith a machine! I am too lazy for doing it by hand!
