He gives money every month to a charity/organization in my name. Of all the presents, dinners, vacations, letters, poems..the charity he gives to is very close to my heart and means the most to me. I thank him each and everyday.

That's really cute!!

DB is big on surprises for me....he drove two hours one night and showed up at my apartment door with flowers and pasta all cooked and ready for us to eat! He had to get up really early and leave by 4 am but it was so sweet of him (L).

When we had first met, we were living right next door to each other, he knew I had to get up early for work in the summers and he knocked on the door and had eggs and bacon and hash browns cooked and ready for me to eat before I had to leave! I was totally blown away:)

When I flew out here for our anniversary and his birthday, he got us a room at the Navy Lodge, had candles set out, had our songs playing, had drawn a portrait of me, and wrote me a poem. It was an incredible weekend to say the least. (L)

I was working the overnight shift on my birthday. He stayed up, cooked dinner and brought me flowers and food while I was at work. (L)

Mine will come home early from the field and suprise me. He did it for valentines once and sent me to the car to get his shaving kit. When I went to open the back door on the back seat were balloons, candies, roses and a card. He has even made special bubble baths with chem-lights in the water which gives off a totally romantic army glow :lmao: (seriously, its hot!)

I used to get all gussied up and cook dinner for him, we'd eat in candlelight and he'd discover I'd have no undies on. (that was before children and my body being destroyed rofl) I also used to strip for him. :)

Use the blue they are my favorite!! We have also used orange and red. Just drop them into the bottom of the tub and fill with bubble bath. We have a favorite sent from bath and body works. Turn off the lights......woooowzer!

mmmm my favorite thing he did was totally surprise me by coming home and i had no idea at all. it was labor day weekend and we had been talking on and off all day but he told me he had duty so he couldn't come home for the 96 i was so disappointed. well he called me kinda late like 10 or 11 and when i asked him what he was doing he said he was just sitting in his room and asked me if i wanted to come over....i was like umm you are in nc i am in mi...how does that work...he said no babe im in my room at my parents house come over now!! awww :wub

as for me, i do cute/romantic things for him all of the time. leave him notes in his wallet so when he leaves he sees them when he's far away from me..when he left in january i put notes and presents in his bags for him to find later...i cant think of more right now im tired

That is an amazing gift.

DB isn't really too big on the sweet things. I think the sweetest big thing he has ever done was buying me a puffer fish for xmas one year. He also gave me an old tank of his and bought stuff to put in it, including a fake turtle, because I really wanted a turtle! He really doesn't have a romantic bone in his body...but thats ok... I (L) him anyway.

I do lots of stuff for him but if I had to pick one it would be driving 2 and a half hours to see him for one night because he had a bad day and wanted to see me.

well mine had to do with a memory of being young...depends on how much ya know about your SO you can do something that kinda lets him know you remeber the little things:blush

when i was little we went to Sea World...coz i love penguins and orcas...they are my fave, but we didnt stay coz my sister wanted to go to legoland....
DB took me to Sea World and i got close up video footage of the penguins...so cute and i saw the brand new Orca whale show, we spent forever at sea world it was like i was a little kid again:grin::cp

He cleans the kitchen and hangs the clean clothes. Those are 2 chores I hate doing so every time he does it, I :bliss.

When he wrote me poems. And he bought me a teddy bear abd a single rose just because. But he does sweet things all the time. I miss when we are settling in bed for the night and he says such sweet things. Or he'll wake up in the middle of the night say "I(L) love you baby" kiss me and then turn over and go back to sleep.

He constantly tells me he loves me, an how beautifull i am (i dont feel that way) he puts my needs first. We were talking online today an i said i wanted flowers. He sent me a picture of some. lol Then he said hes actully sending me some deep red roses.

dh has surprised me a few times...coming home when i didn't expect it. he's a sucker for flowers too...or should i say I am?

here's a good story:
on our first valentine's day he wouldn't tell me anything except to meet him at our favorite restaurant. we had a drink there and then he walked me to another restaurant where he already had a table ready with flowers and a bottle of wine & dinner already ordered. when we were expecting the appetiser, the waitress came out with a small box and flowers and candle on a tray and placed it in front of me. in the box was a gorgeous pearl & diamond necklace. then we had a fantastic dinner. and then after dinner we walked to the theatre and saw the Tokyo String Quartet.
It was wonderful!

he packed a picnic and we went and climbed a mt and sat on top and ate.

Every so often he'll do something that totally takes me by surprise. Like one night when we were still at Bliss he drove off to a quiet area and pulled over (it was across from the base), he drove way out into these little sandy hills where there was no traffic or anything. He had a blanket in the car and led me off about a quarter mile from the car, put down the blanket and then we made love under the stars. I was totally not expecting it. And afterwards we just snuggled, talking for a while. It was great.

It's more the little things..opening doors for me, getting me water and food whenever he gets up, etc.

I think right before we got back together, he had always wanted a boat - and had it parked behind the house.. so he took me back there and showed it to me and the name of it was Cheyanne.. Our daughter's name. He always does little things to make me feel special, I'm not so good at it, but I typically try to send him emails just saying I love you or thinking about you, sometimes I'll leave a CD in his car for him for when he wakes up in the morning that I made for him or even just a little card. I've written him poems..

He always does really sweet things for me but the most romantic thing he did for me was this past Christmas when l went to go visit him in Oki and the first night that I got there we went to the hotel and he made me stand outside the room for a few min then he said I could come in and when I walked in, he had roses and I mean a lot of roses all over the room (pink and white, my favorites) and he had candles lit all over the room, it was so sweet I started crying, I loved it.

As for what I've done for him, I just like to surprise him when he leasts expects it like leaving little notes by his keys as he walks out the door in the morning or making him breakfast in bed.

Well to me, it was when I first got here. It was snowing a whole lot, and we could leave the house. There was that much snow... atleast 5 feet of it on the ground, and Dh walked a mile to the gas station to get me tampons..
