as time gets closer to df coming home we are trying to start getting prepared for our jop wedding. i was wondering does anyone know off hand the marriage requirements for SC or for TN or even KY ?

check with the state, every state is different some you need a blood test, others you don't

I got married in SC! We just had to apply for a marriage license and make sure it was signed by an official when we were married. We just had to provide id and birth certificates that was it. No blood tests. :)

we didn't need a blood test here in KY. We just went and applied for a marriage license.. and it HAS to be 30days from the date.. after that it expires. I'm not sure about TN, however we WERE going to get married there in Gatlinburg.. (where we got engaged, love that place). I think it's pretty much the same though.. :) Let me know if I can help any!!!

most states allow military to get married the same day they get their license.

I can't remember if there was a waiting period for ours, I think it might have been 2 weeks if anything.

DB and I are getting married after his BCT graduation ceremony on July 6, he is at Fort Jackson, SC. We're both from KY and you do have to apply for marriage license at least 30 days in advance before your allowed to get married and that's really about it. BUT we're having to get married in SC and the chaplain on the base will be performing our ceremony so DB and I have to go and get our marriage license (in SC there is only a 24 hour wait period) and then we have to take a "pre-marital" seminar together before they will marry us! OH I also wanted to say that you CANNOT marry cousins in KY! As soo many like to think, but what is funny is that in SC you CAN!! I just thought that was funny. :)

Almost all states will waive the waiting time if he had AD orders..

My sister had to have a blood test in KY to make sure that she wasn't marrying a cousin.. We were going to get married in MS, and they wanted a syphillis test...

In Las Vegas I believe all we needed was our birth cert's. We went in and got our license, a few hours later we were married. Easy peasy.

In VA..you had to be married within 30 days from the date you got it. After 31 days, it was void and you would have to get a new one.
