The starter kits are usually pretty good deals, if they have what you want in them.

Well, what kind of CD's are you planning to use?

I use prefolds & covers on newborns and pockets or fitteds & covers for older babies and toddlers. So I got a starter kit for Kaia that included prefolds & covers. It just depends on what you want.

Probably, I'm always making posts in places about CD's. :lol I'm addicted to them.

BTW, I do use sposies when we go out. I don't like carrying around poop w/ me. :P

I get a lot of dipes from Cotton Babies, they also have some AIO's (bumGenious) but I'm not an AIO fan. Here's some of their kits: http://www.cottonbabies.com/index.php?cPath=22

I think that have a few of all the different kinds is a good way to start off because some diapers that work on other babies might not work on yours. Or you might absolutely HATE one kind and if you bought $20 of them you are out a lot of money!

I do like this kit though from Cotton Babies it is very inexpensive too.

For us a mix between fitted, prefolds, covers, all in ones/all in twos, & pocket diapers works. I also use doublers & inserts to increase absorbency.

Yes, this is so you can try CDing before you spend a whole lot of money. With a newborn 6 won't last all day but it can give you an idea of what it is like. I would say to try a few of each kind of diaper and don't invest a whole lot at first. I started slowly because even though I wanted to CD I was not sure it would work for us.

what kinds did you get when you first started trying CD out?

I started with G diapers (they have a flush-able insert) then I started using prefolds instead of the inserts. Then I was folding the prefolds with a bikini twist and using the g diaper cover to keep it all in, after that I tried bottom bumper all in ones (MY FAVORITE diaper) now I have some of everything. I like all of it at different times and for different things KWIM.

CD is very versatile you just have to pick a system that works for you. some people ONLY use all in ones I could not afford to do that. Others CD only part time. Some have massive stashes of diapers some just have a small stash. Depends on how often you want to NEED to wash your diapers and how much money you can afford to spend on how big or small the stash will get. So it really is only as much or as little as you want to do.

I will say this it is an addiction I love finding cute cloth for Jacob to wear.
