the nose suction thing???

Ellie HATES it with a passion! But her nose get soooo bad that she coughs and chokes on it, so I have to do it. She screams soooo loud like I was beating her or something!

When she was younger, she thought it was funny. She would smile while i was doing it, then laugh after I sucked it out. And now before I start, she acts like its a game and gets this big smile on and tries to roll away, but as soon as I start, she acts like I am killing her! I dont get it!

Is anyone else's baby like that?? Or have you had to deal with this before? if so, how did you do it??

:lol I wouldnt know Brenna's nose is so tiny I cant get the suction part up there :lol

I don't know any babies that like the "snot sucker"!! If you can find one, let me know!

Camryn hated it.. it finally got to the point where I had to put her between my knees and suction her nose, if I was on my own. If DH was home, he had to hold her down so I could get it done.

After Taylor spent a week in the hospital when she was a month old, and had to have her nose suctioned every hour just about...she cringes at the site of that thing :( I swear the poor child was scarred for life.

Its pretty much known that most babies hate the nasal aspiration bulb...I mean, I think I'd hate someone sticking something up my nose and suctioning everything out too. :lol

i dunno about you... but i don't think there are babies out there who find that it "feels good" to have rubber shoved up their tender noses... :rofl

yeah when Ellie was in the hospital for her rsv, she had to have it sucked constantly. I think thats why she hates it now!

me too! Jasmine flips out when i use that bulb syringe in her nose. I mean she fights like she is fighting for her little life.:no I just have to try to work around the screaming and crying and little fists and feet attacking me.:lol

It takes two people to get all the crud out of Sabreena's nose...one to actually work the bulb thingie, and one to hold down her hands...she's strong! :lol

Raynee hated it so bad it always took dh & I to hold her down to do it!!! Today if she was to see it she would start to cry & run the other way!!!
