My doc is at Bangor, but she's not specialized in O.B. She's like a family practice doc. Do I make an appt. with her first to get the preg. confirmed and have her refer me to an O.B. doc at Brem. Naval Hosp.???

Thanks girls, got a confirmation and a referral to O.B. at Brem today! I guess my regular doctor left and the only other ob doc they have is leaving after this week and they won't be replaced until Sept.

I saw Dr. Hoover in Family Practice for my pregnancy here. She is absolutely great. I've never met another military doctor so willing to listen to you and hear out what you think could be wrong with you. She made appointments a joy instead of a chore. She ended up not being able to be in the room with me when I had my c-section done, but she came to visit me quite a few times while I was in the hospital. I definitely recommend seeing her if you can.

I dont like the bangor clinic so it would have been a cold day in heck if i went there for my care. I have a great nurse and midwife at the ob clinic.

I just made an appt....they said I need to schedule a 9 week appt. but when I called they said I needed to go to a class first???? What is this about? I've already had one baby, does this make a difference? Anyway, I'm going to that when I'm about 6.5 weeks, then will they do an appt at 9 weeks and at 12 weeks???

My daughter had to go to that class. I went with her. They just went over the basics of pregnancy, handed out some pamphlets, then they scheduled her with her provider. I don't know if you have to go if you have already had a baby. Dr. Droz is a good doctor. She was my daughter's throughout her pregnancy. We really like her.
