How did you tell your DH when you found out you were pregnant? Our first time I handed him the test stick and bawled my eyes out sobbing that my life was over (I wasn't ready). Ended up miscarrying anyway.

We're trying for one now and my dad and I came up with an awesome plan...I'll take DH to medieval times and get him knighted and when they announce the special occasion for the knighting, they'll say "Congrats, I understand that the Queen of your heart will be providing you with an heir in <month I'm due>." The queen of his heart thing is an inside deal, he's always called me that and in Heidelberg he said he wanted a picture of me in the queens garden because I am the queen of his heart. *melt*

I want it to be special this time, without the sobbing and stuff, LOL.

dh was underway when i found out i was pregnant so i went out and bought a little "so you are going to be a daddy" book and a little pack of neutral onesies and put them in a box for when he came home and i just kept telling him that there was a surprise that i had for him.

Dh was in the room with me. I thought I had a UTI and went to the Dr. Since I'm terrified of them and needles Dh went back with me. When we found out I screamed "I'm pregnant", flew off the table to him, and just starting bawling. Three other nurses came in to make sure everything was ok. :lol

I put the test in a ziploc bag, then back in the original box, and gift wrapped it. Then I gave it to him when he got home from work.

we were both sitting in the bathroom together when i took it..I couldn't pee infront of him--soooooo i made him step out..but he was still in the doorway..it went Pos. right away..but we waited for 2 mins...we were right there together. so no, i didn't wait..and i don't think i could take it without him..

with my first 3, he was always right there when i did the test. with Danica, he was napping and it was a complete surprise to me. i was honestly scared to tell that I was preggo again. so i left the test on a papertowel on the countertop for him to find when he woke up from a nap. :teehee

Have you seen the dropped calls commercial with the lady calling her husband and yelling "WE"RE PREGNANT"? That is what I did.
I called him at work and he was in the middle of teaching a class and he got the phone and said what's up? I said I can't hold it in any longer. WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A BABY!!!! I"M PREGNANT!!!!lol!
I really wanted to do something cool, but I HAD to tell him right away. We had been trying for around 5 years!

The first time I called and told him at work. The second time he was in playing his guitar and I went in with the test and said "Umm...how many lines do you see on here?"

when i found out i was pregnant with sydney dh was underway so i told him in an email cause i couldn't wait until he got home. this time we both kinda knew i was but after i took the test i showed it to him and started crying, i wanted another baby but i felt like he didn't at the time so i was pretty upset.

He was there when I took the test, so he knew right away.

I was in the shower passing the time before the pee stick result popped up. I was TOTALLY thinking it was going to be negative. Bryan took a peek while I was in the shower. We both cried in joy when I saw that it was positive. :)

With DD he was in the bathroom with me, and with this baby I told him over the phone cuz he was in KeyWest!

I actually called my friend and told her FIRST - then called DH b/c he was on funeral detail at the time and told him. It was a nice swift kick to the you know where b/c we had only been together a month or so and were only dating still.

We had been trying for about 1 1/2 years, and I was due to get AF while we were on a dependants cruise in Maui. I hadnt taken a test since maybe december and it was then march, so I took the last test I had left with us to Maui (not telling him) and took it sunday before I picked him up from duty. It was negative, so I didnt think anything about it and just threw it out. So still no AF a week later and his ship was doing the week out weekend in thing so I took another test with him when he got home for the weekend, and negative. Then ANOTHER the next weekend. Lets see, I took about 4 or 5 tests from March 20th to April 1st or 2nd and EVERY ONE OF THEM WAS NEGATIVE!! But still no AF and I was like 3 weeks late. So we went to the doc on April 4th waiting to hear the new bad news of what was wrong with me (I had been going through a lot of fertility crap) and this actual doc, not a nurse, called me back so I thought it was serious and started crying before we got down to the hall and he looked sooo serious, then handed us the results of all my blood tests (which I didnt understand) then said "well let me high light what I am going to be talking about." So he higlighted the HCG part and handed it back. I had taken soooo many pg tests that I KNEW what HCG levels to look for, so when I saw the levels I about DIED! We were pregnant and Toby didnt know what i was freaking out about because he didnt understand a damn thing on that paper! :giggle It was a very very memorable moment!

I had a really faint line and it was hard for me to see, so I was like "what do you think?" and he said "i think your pregnant."

Well I had been having problems the previous month b/c my period was messed up, so in January I thought I was having the same problem again and I was frustrated and going to go to the doc and demand an answer as to why my flow was so screwy. So the day I was going I decided to test (they always ask if you're period doesn't start) so I could tell them that just like the previous month, something was wrong. Well as soon as I set the stick down a big plus popped up w/o hesitation... Since I kept getting told I wasn't preg before I had gone on w/ life like normal. I had moved couches, gotten xrays, taken hot bubble baths, etc... So I called my DH in more of a panic b/c I thought I did something to jeopardize the baby and had no clue how pregnant I really was... I wish it couldn't been something cuter, but I was wigging out. :lol

ds was not planned at all so unfortunatly I don't have a cute story for when I told DH. I was sitting on the back bumper of my car bawling my eyes out when I called him at work.

I went out and bought Sugar Babies, Sugar Daddies, Baby Ruths, Runts and Junior Mints. I put them in a bag and underneath all the candy I put my pregnancy stick in a box. I took him out to dinner (to our spot) and gave him the bag. He didn't get it when he saw the candy. (But we weren't trying to get pregnant so he wasn't even thinking about it). When he opened up the box at the end... HE got it then!! haha!!

I called him at work and told him to hurry home. he got so stressed out thinking something was really wrong he rushed home, I told him in his ear that I was prego. I have never seen that man smile so big in my life! We had went to Hollywood the day before and I told him " Wouldnt it be cool if I was prego and we could tell our baby, when you were still in mommy we went to Hollywood" the next day I took a test from a friend and called her because I didnt know how to read it! LOL

Well when Chuck was in Korea he was told he couldn't come home for leave so I went there. We decided to try for the two weeks I was there. Well I got back from Korea on a Friday and Sunday I started puking. My sister (who was living with me) made me take the test. I took two to be sure and they were both positive. So I called him all screaming and happy and crying and stuff. I was soo excited. We had worked SUPER hard to get pregnant in a very short period of time lol.

I had to email DH (then DB) because he was deployed, and he called me the next day and we both cried, we were so scared. But everything turned out great. I want to be so much more creative when we get pregnant again!

This is just like how I told dh about our son....not planned or ready at all.

I was going to do something cute like make a sing that said "NAVY BABY ON THE WAY" and put it on the garage door. But I took the test when he was at work and was so happy I just drove out to his shop and told him. The first thing out of his mouth was "Good I'm not broken!"

Dh was deployed (as he was most of 2002) again. I really didn't think I was pregnant because I didn't [I]feel[I] pregnant. I told him the week prior that I wasn't and my period was late because of the stress of him getting deployed again. My neighbor convinced me to do a home test and I laughed at her and did it anyway. My Asian eyes were as big as saucers when I looked at the stick. My neighbor got to find out first, since it was her idea... but I took a pic of the stick. I proceeded to email the hubby and let him know that he needed to call me ASAP. When I didn't hear from him for 12 hours, I emailed again and this time attached the pic of the stick. I got a call an hour later but he hadn't checked his email. I laughed at him and told him to open his email while we were talking. (it seemed to take him forever to get the damned program open!) He was telling me about his long flight that day when his talking abruptly stopped. I knew that he had opened the right one and laughed. He was so excited... he told whoever would listen in the office that he was calling from. I just wish that I would have had the opportunity to see his face.

Everytime I've had to test, I had Mike in the bathroom with me because we were both freaking out. We would welcome a child, "adapt and overcome" but thankfully they were negative everytime. I'm a worry wart so I tested if I was late like a day.
