is that possible?? Ellie hasnt had much interest in her formula lately. I was worried about her not getting enough so I kept trying to give it to her BEFORE I fed her the jar food, and she would get pissed. So I went back to the jar food first, then formula and it went ok for a while, but she would never drink more than an ounce or two at a time and would mainly play with it. So I thought maybe it was the bottle. So yesterday Toby suggested giving her formula in her sippy cup, but she HATED IT! She got sooo frustrated and would scream, so we went back to the bottle and the same thing with the whole playing with it thing. I dont get it, she just doesnt want it anymore. She would rather actually EAT than drink her formula. What should I do????

Doesn't sound like a problem to me really. Maybe you should give her water with meals and formula as snacks and in between?? How old is she?

She is 7 months. She loves water and will drink it out of her sippy no prob. But arent they supposed to get about 32oz a day??? That's why it bothers me.

I doesnt seem like a problem my son went through the same phase.I dont know how old Ellie is but when he was 6 months he didnt want it. So what i did was put it in his cereal.

Yeah it would work to put the formula in her baby cereal too.

My son played with his formula too, and eventually he would get hungry and want it. When she plays with it, take it away from her. Wait a bit, and then she will want it again. :)

Maybe try mixing her formula in with some of her foods?! Formula IS important and is a necessity! Try a straw sippy cup too!

:agree formula is good for an hour after they touch. so try not to stress about. Its just a phase she'll get over.

Yeah I put it in her cereal, but she doesnt eat that much cereal anymore. Its mainly just jar food. And we have been trying the straw sippy for a while, but she doesnt understand how to work the straw yet :giggle

You can try giving her mash potato's by replacing the milk with her formula.

Oh another thing we did was to add the formula to pureed foods instead of water. I made all my own baby food. I would take peas, steam them, put them in the blender with some formula, puree, add more formula if i needed to, and then I froze it in ice cube trays. Take out 2-3 cubes, thaw in the fridge, and you have a serving of baby food complete with formula. If you have the time, I would consider making your own baby food that way.

Thats a good idea! I have been wanting to make my own, but I will have to wait until we have our own place because i dont have the room in the fridge or freezer to do it here.

Honestly, it doesn't take up much room. I used ziploc bags and put all the cubes of one type in a bag, labelled, dated, and shoved it in there. I only had about 4 or 5 half full bags at a time in there so it hardly took up any room.
He got so mad when he had to have jar food one time at a relative's house. :giggle
