~*~Katie~*~ 06-29-2007, 10:44 AM So honestly I feel like I wanna throw up right now.:puke I just got a call that he might be extended. :sigh I didnt think Marines GOT extended...guess they do.:irked Well apparently his boss feels that it is appropriate for him to stay with another unit :tears Can't you just send the man home for a little while?!:club I mean REALLY now! He has two choices, he can come home, and leave right away (september) and go back August.:puzz Or he can stay their and come home in Feb./March 08. He was soo upset last night that I stayed strong (I guess thats my reflex when stuff hurts me is to act like it doesn't and be a rock), I was so proud of myself for not showing pain and anger! I wanted to beat whomevers decision it was :club:club:vent:vent He was stressing and I said "Whatever happens, Happens love, God will take care of the rest." That seemed to put his heart at ease, but I know that a man whose been in Iraq since Feb is not really looking forward to staying their for a year, or another day at that. BUT men do it all the time :( Please pray that whatever happens, its in God's will. I don't wanna pray one way or another, I just want the right decision to come from above :curtsy

He's been deployed since February and was supposed to be home in September. :sigh

Not sure if I understood the situation correctly...He would either come back now and then leave again in September...return home August 08, or stay until February 08? I would have him stay. I would WANT him home, but for me, it would be hard to have him home and then say goodbye again, and honestly, wouldn't he be gone longer (total) if he got the break? One year total (Feb 07-08) versus...what...6 months out, home for a month, and gone for another 11 months? So 17 months total? Did I read that correctly? If the decision IS up to him, I would not want him coming home for a month and, in return, having to be gone a total of 6 months more.

Yea he can either come home for a month in September and leave again for 6 more months or just stay in Iraq till February. I think your right I would want him to stay. It would be too hard to have him come home and leave again and be gone for longer. I'd rather itjust get over with and have him home for a year :) thats what they say. We shall see....Damn military...
