Ingredients:

Pudding: Meringue Topping:

2 boxes vanilla wafers 6 egg whites
2 lbs bananas, slices 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
1 1/2 cups sugar 1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 cup flour 1 teaspoon vanilla
6 egg yolks
3 whole eggs
1/2 cup butter (NOT margarine)
dash of salt
6 cups milk
2 teaspoons vanilla

for pudding:

Layer sliced bananas and vanilla wafers in a large baking pan. Mix together sugar flour eggs butter and salt in heavy bottomed sauce pan. Add milk a little at a time. Cook slowly until the mixture thickens. Let it cool for a few minutes then add the vanilla. Pour over bananas and vanilla wafers.

Meringue topping:

Beat the 6 egg whites with the lemon juice sugar and vanilla until it forms stiff peaks. Sppon mixture over the top of the pudding.

Brown at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes until golden on top.

That sounds good! i make something like that, but i cheat and buy 2 boxes of vanilla cook pudding and make it that way.
