Can anyone think of any problems that could arise from this? Right now the pottybox is in the dining room, and it's got to go...
I hate it when Napoleon drops a digested mouse from his butt during dinner time..:puke
Would I just move it, and show him where it is?

When I relocated Bub's box I just moved it before I scooped it for the night and showed him where it was. It was not an issue for him.

I haven't had an issue when I moved my cats box when I had a cat.... I'd probably do like the above poster said and not scoop it before I moved it.. then he'll be able to smell it.....and show him...... cats are pretty easy about training like that.......

I just show the cats since we move every 3 years lol.
Ours used to always be in the bathroom but now its in the closet and I like that so much better. (a storage closet not our clothes closet)

all i can say is that cats sound a lot smarter than my little puppies. if we move their potty pad they usually go in the old spot a couple of times before they get the hang of it.

Oh it's VERY easy to move a litter box!!! If you have an unused bathtub, it works great placing the litter box itself into the tub. :)
Just show him where it's at and they'll he'll know for the future. :)

Oh, wow.. that's exactly where I put it!! How'd you know? We don't use the tub in the guest bathroom, and I have a sheer curtain on it..

HAHAHAHA!!!
Because that's where my mom placed my kitty's(Macy) box when I moved away. So now my Hawaii cat(Penney) uses it and Macy uses Penney's box. Penney's box is placed in my bedroom and I HATE it!!!! They could share but that'll be more work for me, since my Mom takes care of Macy's box. LOL!!!

We're really lucky with our two. We move it whenever someone stays with us (because it's in the guest room). Cats are really smart, they KNOW that's their pottybox. Just walk them into the new room and let them see their box. They'll remember. :wink

I don't think it will be a problem either..we move Nikki's all the time and we don't even show her where it is and she finds it on her own.
