I just got my American Baby mag for this month and there is an add for hotslings.com in the back so I went and checked it out and they look pretty easy and comfortable and they're actually usable for quite a while, they hold in the hip position up to 35 lbs. I have been looking everywhere for a sling I like, I was just wondering if anyone had heard of this company or possibly has one of their slings?

I have heard of them but DH refused to let me spend that amount of money on one. So I made mine. Started using it the day I came home from the hospital and use it every single day for the past 9 months and 1 week :giggle I love slings they are soo friggen awesome

Do slings put too much pressure on your shoulder or anything or is the weigh supported pretty well by it resting on your hip?

I talked to dh and I went ahead and ordered one. I am hoping it is as good as it looks. I bought one of those front carriers with all the buckles and snaps and it's such a pain in the butt and it's not all that comfortable for me or him.

i bought one and i loved it. i had to have it made for me cuz they didnt go up to my size and they were really easy to talk with and such. Corran loved his sling after i got one my mom took one look at it and sewed one up for me! I love them. You can get then at target now!! If it wasnt for my hotsling knowck off we would be wondering where my son was. We went to the beach and growing up on the beach you are taught to never turn your back on the water and i didnt but awave came out of no where and knowcked me over and ds was in the sling. both my arms flew open and i caught my self and ds was still there when we made it back up. he didnt even cry!!

I LOVE MY HOTSLING!! I still use one from time to time when were out shoping. DS is 2 and 25lbs. But only when hes napping!!

I ordered 2 slings from hotslings.com right before my last son was born. I already have some back issues and they hurt my back so bad that I gave them to Brandi. They were more money than they were worth imo.

I've never used hotslings, i've heard they're a bit pricey. I've used Ergo Carrier, which is a bit of a pain to get on, but worth it for long ventures with a big baby lol (my son is 11 months old and weighs 28 lbs!!! breastmilk baby!!)

i've used Slinglings pouches, now THOSE were awesome when he was little because i would put him in it like a little froggy facing me he was comfy and so was i. once he got bigger though, i found them to be a bit useless. slinglings.com

my FAVORITE sling is a gorgeous ring-sling made by Jan Andrea from Sleeping Baby Productions. SHE IS THE SHIT! check out her website: sleepingbaby.net

anyway, slinglings i think are like 30 bucks a pop and Jan's ringslings (depending on the fabric) are anywhere from 15 to 75 bucks. She has some nice plain stuff and some wicked fancy stuff.

Im not sure how much they are on the hotslings site, but they were like $35 in Target and super cute.

I paid 44 for mine I think it was and I got it like two days after I ordered it and it works great so far! My son loves that he can face outward and see everything but still be sort of sideways next to me, which was the problem with the other carrier he had, he never liked how he was positioned. He feels very secure in this sling. And he's bigger than most babies his age also, in weight and height so I was worried about him fitting in it but it doesn't seem to be a problem. So I think I (L) it! :)
