CAmom4721 07-02-2007, 02:43 AM I always just write dvds and we've never had a problem. ETA: He usually gets two in every package and a package every 3 weeks or so, so I've sent quite a few. :) 360Sweetie 07-02-2007, 02:59 AM Oh okay thanks.I feel better about sending it now. CAmom4721 07-02-2007, 03:12 AM I always just make sure I insure whatever I'm sending that way if anything does happen to go missing even though we've never had a problem I can claim it and get my money back. chelsea<3josh 07-02-2007, 07:18 AM personally i wouldnt write dvd's on there. db has said not to write anything that others may really want. so i usually leave things like that off of the customs from. but hopefully it will be fine if you do write it! :) goldilockz 07-02-2007, 07:36 AM If you don't write it on there, and they see something not listed on the form while it's x-rayed, they can take it out and you have nothing to go on as far as insurance. Don't ever leave stuff out, that's how things disappear without getting it back. Don't say it's "pirates of the caribbean DVD" say "dvd" Ashnbri 07-02-2007, 01:23 PM I just write like 4 dvd's on it and put the price of how much they were of course. LaurenBeth 07-06-2007, 06:20 PM I send him like 10 DVDs at a time and always note it. It has never been a problem. She said I can write "toiletries, snacks, stationary, dvds" so that I can fit it all on the customs form. I put a packing list on the inside of the box too. On one flap I write the contents and on the other flap I write DBF's address. That way if the label comes off they can get the package to him, AND he can double check that no one has tampered with what he was supposed to get. :wink LaurenBeth 07-06-2007, 07:42 PM The USPS woman told me that I can be generic and they won't care. They wont allow us to just write toiletries for example. You have to list each item. You can say toiletries and list all of them in parenthesis next to it. I guess different post offices are a little more relaxed about it. hteew 07-06-2007, 07:51 PM when I am generic the post office told me to be specific. How many SOS'ers does it take to send a DVD? :hystericlaugh Del 07-06-2007, 10:22 PM LOL, I'll probably be freaking about this all in a week or so... I just realized that it's July already and DB's B-day is in AUGUST! Eek. |
