I think Brownie is allergic to grass, how much does that suck?! She'll scratch like every other animal, but if she lays in some grass for a couple mins, poor thing scratches like crazy. A bath and benedryl don't even help most of the time. My poor baby. :(

My neighbor's beagle was allergic to grass. They had to wipe her paws down every time she came in with baby wipes, otherwise she'd chew her paws until they bled. :sadeyes

The Boxers are allergic too..once it gets too long they are chewing freaks and break out in hives. I give them each 75mg of Benedryl and it helps also some cortizone spray from the pets store works well too.

They have Hive medication from the Vet that we keep handy...but they only get the allergy feet when the grass is too long and that is OUR fault so the Benedryl works for them.

BUT if your dog has severe grass allergies...you really need to see the vet and get her on a good antihistimine for that.

i worked in an allergy office, and we had one patient that got serums for her dogs, cause they were allergic to grass and weeds, and she actually gave them allergy shots. it was crazy expensive but to her very much worth it.
